It has been a while since my last post. I will get better at this, at some point. Last night we had a great evening/date night. My AWESOME mom is the Meeting Planner, or should I say "Executive Producer" for the Western Hunting & Conservation Expo. Last night was their Saturday Night Extravaganza. Its the final evening of the event and their live auction, keynote speaker and headliner entertainment. We were able to attend and sit at a table with family and friends. The night started off with their live auction, we were in awe of energy (and money) in the room bidding on hunting tags and other items. We also had a steak and lobster dinner, followed by the final concert Josh Taylor! We practically had front row seats in the Ballroom of the convention center. Josh put on a great show, his voice was awesome and we had a great night.
One of the things that I enjoy more an more as I get older is spending time with my brother and sister. I remember our parents telling us when we were young and fighting that we would be friends as we get older, they were right! My sister Megan and her husband Ian joined us last night. My brother Dax was actually working that night, he was helping with Josh Turner and his band but he was able to sneek in a few minutes with us at the table. As I get older, I cherish pictures like this more and more. Although we didn't interact a lot last night, it was just nice spending time with them. I wish Mom would have been able to sit and spend most of the night with us but she was up and down making sure things were running smooth for the event, we'll get her and Jack in the picture next time.
